Helpdesk holiday update: There’s myrrh!

Our help desk was rattled this week when a ticket was raised by user elph2512@scworkshop.np asking for support on their BID3 model!

The message reads:

Urgent need for BID3 team to have a look! I need to model the surge in electric load coming next week. Workshop at full swing and billions and billions of orders hang in the balance.

The user went to describe a peculiar, isolated price zone with no interconnectors. Sparsely populated with people-like little creatures and a workshop managed by a white bearded man who is well beyond the age of retirement.

The message continued:

Each time I complete my run, an odd data series appears (screenshot attached), but I’ve checked all my inputs, could it be that the demand from the new battery powered skids causing this?

The help desk, intrigued by the screenshot, pulled their data to check if this result can be recreated on our side. Our team was impressed, elph2512 can build spectacular internally consistent scenarios. They hit run, and then low and behold the result screen:

Merry Christmas and happy new year to our BID3 users from us here at AFRY! 2022 was the year we met our users again in person, delivered many enhancements and welcomed new users and team members. We are gearing up to an even more exciting 2023. Thank you for your engagement and hope to see you all again next year.
