BID3 2026.1 Release now available - all the wins and none of the upsets!

As the world’s top talents take to the pitch for the World Cup, the BID3 team has been showing its own form with the 2026.1 release 💪 now available to download from the Portal

This release is about optimising for the goals with a hydro focus and solving time improvements, alongside several other key enhancements. Some highlights include:

• It is not a single shot but a whole tournament 🏟️ with renewables interpolation ensuring capacity ramps smoothly through the year, avoiding year-end surges
• Sharpen your market game with Price/Quantity pairs extension now widened to renewables bidding strategies 💡
• GPU solving (with FICO Xpress 9.8 support) made it to the qualification stage of this release. GPUs are closing the gap on CPUs, giving you more options as solver performance evolves
• Stream your dataset like you stream your match, with BID3 2026.1 support for Azure SQL ☁️ enabling reduced maintenance overhead and improved scalability
