• Don’t get hot under the collar! We’ve got improved user experience including quick access to help by hitting F1 within BID3 to find out the answer. And don’t miss out on the Run groups to keep your multiple runs all neat and tidy.
• A scorching new addition, with the new Policy Build module, giving you the ability to build scenarios through imitating auctions of renewables and firm plant. A neat alternative to Auto Build that replicates a central government policy-driven approach
• Feeling hot and flustered with batteries? Lots of battery build make understanding the system tightness quite tricky, so we’ve brought in a new LOLE module-based approach to calculating capacity margins, which means your Scarcity Rent now correctly accounts for the energy constraints. We’ve also added scarcity rent price floors: particularly handy if you fancy modelling the Texas market in a heatwave!
• Mercury rising? The new Auto Build eligibility logic might sound suitably calming, but it makes selecting plant for Auto Build a piece of (hot) cake
