This year, with greater cheer
You're bringing me something special!

Since this is the bonus third release of the year, we're calling it the Christmas Special as we close this year with a Wham! We're sure it will prove to be a great hit, bringing a banger of developments, most notably:

• Flexibility modelling: singing in the tune of the reserve and balancing markets with Redispatch developments for superior representation of batteries and other flexible plants
• Many useability features, rewinding the top four here: streamlined output naming, highlight rows in forms, cases filter, and improved capabilities for the database transfer tool
• Enhancement of the BID3 classics, such as
  • Co-product with different blocksizes
  • Reserve contribution with unidirectional ICs
  • Profitability of hydrogen pipes and storage assets

The BID3 2024.3 release is now available to download from the Portal, along with the Release Note and databases
