Big Ben meets BID3! A ringing endorsement on the BID3 User forum in London

As every autumn and like clockwork, we welcomed BID3 users from all over the world to the 2024 User Forum. We rang the changes in this year’s Forum in the heart of London, which was our biggest event to date.

Along with BID3 and chimes of the clock tower, this edition reflected on what the city is iconic for: the Underground, the royals, and its much talked about weather. Those set the themes for our sessions that we carefully curated:

  • We discussed hydro optimisation with dual stochasticity – perhaps one day we can use it to forecast the (un)predictable London weather
  • Minded the gap left by renewables as we looked at modelling flexibility and next stop was hydrogen generation, sorted!
  • New developments as well as a peek into the new eLearning module were some of the jewels of the event. Not to forget the coronation of CloudRuns in a live demo
  • A hint of Oxbridge Thames rowing rivalry emerged when teams from Energinet and Statkraft presented top skills in BID3, it was a perfect photo-finish

And more topics that are now available exclusively for our users. All video recordings and presetmation material can be viewed and downloaded from the Portal.

The only thing that you won’t need BID3 to forecast is that there will be another Forum next year in autumn, so keep an eye for the invitation and see you there!
